I don't know if we actually need a specific policy on this. We didn't in the case of my post...

I agree. We should trust in the community more where the guarantee of moderation (by establishing a policy) is not needed.

Your post was quickly downvoted, and you deleted it yourself. This is an example of a good outcome that demonstrates we didn't need moderation.

On the other hand, if we will need it for some post in future, it will be an advantage that the policy will already have existed and will not have to be invented ad hoc.
