Why would this post need to be deleted?
Because people can reply to it and some replies are disagreements.
So, there might be comments on LW of people disagreeing with Eliezer's policy. The horror.
Nah, he likely means that the comments might become so full of censorable examples that the entire branch of discussion would get tainted. I hope not.
(I'm moderately against the tightening of censorship policy, BTW, but I understand Eliezer's reasoning, and I'm fine with it.)
