Do you have any suggestions for suitable forums?
I would suggest forums.studentdoctor.net but honestly anyone who has found SDN is probably in pretty good shape as far as medical school admissions advice goes.
I don't, as I'm not in a related field, but I think people interested in medicine, student advising, career planning, and maybe other fields could really make use of this. Sorry I can't be more specific.
When I was in college none of my advisers ever gave me anything like this; just vague, confused, irrelevant, and sometimes straight-up inaccurate (about their own programs!) information. This is what I was seeking.
