If there's going to be a decent-sized push behind this book, I'd advocate doing market research.
That resolves the second question, but not the big original one: if someone were to do an AdWords campaign as I've suggested, would Luke or the person in charge actually change the name of the book based on the results? What's the VoI here?
I'd be surprised if they didn't read the results if you sent them, and I'd also be surprised if they didn't do Bayesian updates about the optimal book title based on the results. But you could always contact them.
