If you're serious about the opt-outs looking like my current society, I go for the telepathic society in a heartbeat. Something is very very wrong with the opt-outs, because that just ought not be happening.
If you just mean that the opt-outs are an unmarked case, I want to explore the opt-out society for a while, and I might decide to stay there, depending on what it's like... though the telepathic society is still tempting.

Given all of the degrees of freedom that the scenario implies, these guys chose to replicate early-21st-century society with all their limitations? That suggests either a near-pathological lack of creativity, or a degree of attachment to my current society that feels unhealthy to me.
Admittedly, it's just a prejudice on my part, but you asked what I would do...
"normal mundane human society" has looked like a lot of different things. OP never specified a particular version.
I took "your [..] society" to mean my society, but this is also why I gave two answers, depending on whether it actually meant my society or not.
