LessWrong is the focus of LessWrong.

Intriguing and plausible. Does this forum really have a hive mind with a self-preservation instinct? Since the comments you linked to are downvoted below the default visibility level, do you mind writing a Discussion post (or maybe a Main post, if you are adventurous enough) on the subject? These remain visible unless deleted. I wish I could incentivise you with a few hundred karma points, but alas, there is no karma transfer/donation mechanism on the site.

My guess is that most "criticism of LessWrong itself" is not well-received because "LessWrong itself" is not very specific, and so criticism of this vague idea typically isn't able to take the form of clearly expressed thoughts.
