I'm not sure how to react to that. While the trailer does get some points correct (an intelligence explosion is dangerous, and much smarter than you things can likely do stuff that you can't even imagine) it looks like it is essentially from the technological-progress-is-bad-because-hubris end of science fiction, akin to the rebooted Outer Limits. And this seems to ignore the implicit issue that uploads are one of the safer results, not only because they would be near us in mindspace, but because the incredible kludge that is the human brain makes recursive self-improvement less likely.

Given that the film probably doesn't end up with all of humanity being dead, it probably rather overstates than understates the safety of uploads.
