When you add 1 + 1 and get 2 by thinking, these thoughts are themselves embodied in flashes of neural patterns. In principle, we could observe, experientially, the exact same material events as they occurred within someone else's brain.

"the exact same material events"?

He has made a prediction of observable events that I predict is very very very wrong.

Your brain is not my brain. Not the exact same size, shape, or connectivity. Not performing the exact same ocean of processing at any one time that one might also be adding 1+1 to equal 2. For that matter, your brain 5 minutes ago adding 1+1 equal 2 will not exhibit "the exact same material events" as your brain doing it now, or ten minutes from now.

This is one of many times where I wish LessWrong had seen more influence from Korzybski.
