When you cricitize Spock's "rationality", I think it would be better to visually separate the beliefs you disagree with, otherwise an inattentive reader might get confused about what exactly are you trying to say. Like this:

  • "You can expect everyone to react in a reasonable, or what Spock would call rational, way." This expectation is irrational because...
  • "You should never make a decision until you have all the information." This requirement is irrational because...
  • "You should never rely on intuition." This is irrational because...
  • "You should not become emotional." This is irrational because...
