WHEN: 18 June 2017 03:30:00PM (+1000)

WHERE: 8 Rankins Lane, Melbourne, VIC, Australia

Less Wrong Melbourne dojo, 18 June 2017

NOTE VENUE (The Henley Club in central CBD)

We continue running though the aspiring rationalist community's foundational lessons. We will also have an "advanced Less Wronger" reading prepared, for those who are very familiar with the concepts (whether or not you're an old hand in LW).

The discussion draws on some of the content in the Less Wrong Sequences, plus a few key concepts from the top books in relevant fields.

Facilitated by Adam Karlovsky.

Bring some snacks/drinks (bonus points for healthy), some friends, and an open but critical mind. We generally go for dinner afterwards.

The Less Wrong Melbourne Rationality Dojos are a chance to polish your planning, motivational, critical thinking and other rationality skills. We welcome new members who are interested in exploring rationality. We're "aspiring rationalists" and always open to learn.

  • An inquiring mind, and observations you may have on the topic.
  • Perhaps a snack to share. (Healthy snack choice is optional but welcome.)

3:30pm to 6:30pm (and then optional dinner). Come early to catch up, and the meeting proper will begin at 4pm sharp.

At about 6:30pm some of us generally head for dinner nearby, and you are welcome to join us.
