I didn't say that my four desiderata were what I wanted. I said they were what we should want. Back when I was first investigating, I honestly didn't know it would come out that way - and in fact thought quite differently - but now I know it's how it should come out.

Claiming to want things requires a lot less justification than claiming we should want things. You're substituting assertions that are very hard to support for ones that are fairly easy - and you're not providing enough support to justify the easy ones, much less the hard ones. And in the process, you're increasing the relevance of my criticism. Instead of my having a moderately good point, you've made me have an incredibly good point.

I don't expect you to care, given your general contempt for defining the words and concepts you sling around, but that word does not mean what you think it does.

It's a lovely new wardrobe you have there, Emperor Eliezer, but it doesn't leave much to the imagination.
