An idea unconfirmable by experiment is not just probably wrong, but necessarily meaningless.

This depends on whether we're talking about unverifiable-in-practice, or unverifiable-in-principle.

If it's unverifiable-in-principle, there is no distinction between the affirmation and negation of the premise, and the concept is meaningless.
