It seems pretty unlikely that we will get an all-knowing oracle which we can only interrogate with questions that can be scored.

What we are much more likely to get is powerful forecasters - that can answer the question of: What symbol in this stream is most likely to come next? I wonder what we would be able to do with them. Some claim that such systems would pass the Turing Test - if they were powerful enough - and were given a huge amount of relevant training data.
