I don't understand. What the hell prompted everyone to suddenly discuss the Banned Idea all at once?
I'm going to work up a theory about sticky associations. The short version is that, in addition to bannedness making things fascinating to many people (and the sort who like LW are probably less compliant about such things than the general population), the mere mention of anything associated with the idea (like Roko's name) is going to bring it back.
