If people are claiming the rationality tagline is code for transhumanism and technophilia, why wouldn't they also claim that for a more savory tagline?

I believe the reasoning is: savoriness of tagline -> unconscious gut-assessment of site legitimacy -> choice of side to rationalize.

I agree with this. There are some people who just view everything through the lens of "what's their agenda?". Vocabulary tricks aren't going to placate them.

I agree with this. The word "rationality" has a meaning besides "obviously correct", and there are people who know that meaning.
