I assume that the SIAI and FHI logos have to be there to acknowledge the funding, but if it wasn't for that, I'd rather see them removed.

That's what I was saying. LW gets their money, they get a place in the masthead. I don't have a problem with that. In fact, I'm surprised not to see an explicit acknowledgement of the sponsorship anywhere.
ETA: The foot of the ABOUT page briefly mentions that LW is "associated with" these organisations and that the founder, EY, works at the SI.
