Asking people to retrospectively consider choosing the nonexistence of someone they love is a seriously different thing than, say, recommending birth control (and adopting rather than conceiving) for a couple with genetic incompatibilities.

May all memory of me be forever stricken from this simulation if I ever give someone the choice to send information back in time to their past self and rather than creating another alternate universe actually change their current situation. I have no information about Charles other than the first letter of his last name and the fact that his child requires therapy for something that may or may not be genetic.

When I apologized and said I didn't mean it to be offensive, it was a less eloquent way of admitting my ignorance of his circumstances and trying to show regret for my previous comment made in haste.
