Announced here. Full title is Our Final Invention: Artificial Intelligence and the End of the Human Era. The author is James Barrat, best known (for now) for his TV documentaries. I chatted with him online; he'll be at this year's Singularity Summit.

The book is now available for pre-order. Luckily, according to the author, MIRI changed its name just in time for that change to propagate to the manuscript. MIRI's research is featured pretty heavily in the book.
