Should transhumanism occur, it will eliminate the maladaptive differences.

Transhumanism is a set of values, not an event. (One would not say that Humanism has happened.)

Agreed, but is there an accepted word for "humans develop the technology to dramatically alter their bodies, such that they begin developing into a species that is not recognizably human?"
