I was. For a couple of years I would do things with no other justification than because it was a silly thing to do or because no one would ever expect it*. I recall I had some sort of weird meta-rationalization for it at one point, but that was quickly lost in the chaos.

Deliberate irrationality is not a hobby I'd suggest taking up any time soon. I still have a habit of fixating on the most ludicrous, worst possible thing to do in any given situation, and it takes significant mental effort to make myself not do it.

*NOBODY EXPECTS THE SPANISH INQUISITION!!!
