I think it is insane (or overconfidence) to believe in either of those two views — we cannot yet be certain in either.

However, I have not yet found a way to transfer understanding of the problem. I am trying to explain that there's a system of thinking (model) to use in which the thinking you normally use is embedded, and it usually doesn't change anything (though maybe it does, but let's put that aside), but is critical in the topic problem.

For references that anyone is not likely to grok, I'm referring to importance of antecedence of subjective knowledge over intersubjective; and any solution (and most of the analysis) of identity-related problems of uploading using the latter (intersubjective) basis is useless — it is more like overanalysing using an irrelevant toolset.

Though of course what I claim is irrelevant if you only inherently value the approximate material construct of your right heel and don't mind destroying everything else; but all such cases I, for now, see as highly dubious.
