So far most replies are of the type of the invisible dragons in your garage: multiple reasons why looking for them would never work, so one should not even try.
Except that you're the only one who's postulating the dragon, while everyone else is going "Of course dragons don't exist, why'd we look for them? We should look for unicorns, dammit, unicorns! Not fire-breathing lizards!"
