I don't really feel like you're interested in genuine discussion. Your comments feel extremely disingenuous to me, as though you're arguing for the sake of winning (winning what? I have no idea). I don't want to argue with you if you're not actually going to evaluate the points I'm making. Monty Python's Argument Clinic: "An argument is an intellectual process, contradiction is just the automatic gainsaying of anything the other person says". That's pretty much what I feel that you're doing here. I have no obligation to continue this discussion.
If I'm right and he was mind reading, you get to feel like a moron. If you're right and he wasn't, I get to feel like a moron. (Yes, I'm being inspired by Harry's contract thing for Hermione criticism.) I think it's most probable though that EY doesn't even bother to specify which of us had the correct interpretation, so we'll probably just have to be content with our opinions. I don't really give a damn about trying to convince other people, I just want to get the information out there so that they can make a decision for themselves.

At this point the only specific argument you got left that I didn't address was that Quirrel is mentioned staring at her. So here, let me address that one as well: In chapter 70 (one of the Self Actualization chapters) Quirrel is again mentioned to be looking at her:
