Update: The books are on hold because we need Eliezer for other projects.

Whatever this project is, it must be something truly exceptional, to preempt a useful project presumably close to publication.

From what I understand (guess) Eliezer is doing a lot of work on the new centre for rationality spin off from SI.

I wish there were some transparency in what he is involved in and to what degree. Not a wholly unreasonable thing to ask from a non-profit. Hopefully major donors have a better visibility into the SI/EY day-to-day operation.

EY should start a webshow called day in the life of EY which is just a webcam attached to his head so we can know more about his personal life than he already shares with us xD

But he ought not go to France if he does.

(I am chagrined to admit that when I first heard about that event, it was just described as a "Toronto professor," and I thought "How unfortunate!" When I later discovered it was Mann I was like "Oh, well, that explains it then.")

At least, that's what he tells his HPMoR readers!

(Yes, which allows Konkvistador to upgrade his confidence significantly beyond 'guess' to 'know with reasonable confidence because it is stated and there isn't much reason for it to be a lie'.)
