Does this apply to people who advocate religion as well as those who are mourning a conversion?
Yes, I am calling Will a hypocrite. The majority of of religious discussions raised on Lesswrong in recent months have been by Will. That being the case I interpret the parent as a purely political comment: "This post supports the opposing side. Argue against it!"
