Can someone please provide hard data on trolling, to assess its kind and scale? I can only remember a single example of repeated apparent trolling - comments made by private_messaging and presumed sockpuppets. I'm not very active though, and miss many discussions while they're still unvoted-on.
Seconded. The first time that I saw any indications of LW having a troll problem was a couple of days back, when people started complaining about us having one.

Yes, that surprised me. For some reason, my mental image of him was that of a man in his late forties.
I'm not even sure he's a troll--my impression is that he isn't very fluent in English and inadvertently got himself anti-LW-mindkilled.
Can anyone "name that troll?" (Rumplestiltskin?)
