To answer your question, this is pretty much what it's actually for. (I'm quite pleased with this one, for example, and this one has worked well in practice to make the world a slightly better place for a while.) Trent (the local Jimbo) is also working on making a new site explicitly for original works of skeptical interest, and expanding the RWF to do more than just run an amusing and slightly useful website.
