I went and looked through The American Conservative site more carefully, here is what it says:

Today the country pays the price for the left-wing ideologies that ran rampant in the 20th century and the right-wing, but not conservative, reaction that has only exacerbated the destruction wrought by the left.

That's some mind-killing stuff right there. And the writeup by Alan Jacobs spins the linked article on group productivity a fair bit, too. Surely you could have found a less biased source to quote. Here is one for example.

  • While I read plenty of right wing sites regularly I had never read the site before, it is as you can verify the same link shared by Blume, I don't feel responsible for vetting very site I link to beyond the content of articles I share.
  • If one doesn't want to be minkilled one is welcomed to just read the original article and not explore the site further. I was only complimenting the author right after he stated a sentiment that I strongly related to.
  • I can find equally mindkilling sentences in the NYT or National Review, just because a site has an obvious political affilation and signals this in its name does not mean sharing non-political articles from said site is more mindkilling than from ones that don't.
  • Thank you for the interesting link!
