A bit of a meta question / possibly suggestion:
Has the idea of showing or counting karma-per-reader ratios been discussed before? The idea just occurred to me, but I'd rather not spend time thinking at length about it (I've not noticed any obvious disadvantages, so if you see some please tell me) if multiple other LWers have already discussed or thought about it.
If you hover over their karma score, the ratio appears, and the same if you hover over the score for a post or comment. So far as I know, it's a feature which was added recently.
The next frontier would be a chart which showed how the karma ration changed with time.
