You can't act on any object. You change its environment, and the object will flow.

This seems like an interesting half truth since you can't change the environment without acting on objects. However, it's possible that the environment is a richer tool of influence than acting directly, and also possible that people are less apt to resent the environment for not doing what they want, therefore less likely to try to force it.
