Look up what Ramit Sethi has to say about salary negotiation. He really outlines the how things look from the other side and how asking for your 100k is not nearly as audacious as it seems.

I tried hard to remain calm, and we signed the papers. (By the way, they lied about the increasing, too.) I felt like that was the best day of my life. The next time I was already more audacious and I just asked twice of what I had in that previous company. The interviewer jumped a bit in their chair. I was like: "Is this a problem for your company?
