There's a large intersection of LW readers and Steve Sailer readers.

I'm aware of that. I'm guessing (and hoping) that's because the usual quality of his writing is significantly superior to that post. I'm wondering why advancedatheist saw fit to link to that piece. Surely it must be more than the mere fact that Steve Sailer wrote it. Presumably he thinks there is something useful to be gleaned from it, but I cannot see what that is.

Sailer apparently witnessed Rothblatt's behavior during an earlier episode of this individual's life and wrote about this a few months back. Sailer's recollection of his experience of Rothblatt has as much value as anyone else's, even if Rothblatt rubbed him the wrong way back then, and if Rothblatt's recent behavior strikes him as ridiculous.

I find Dale Carrico's mockery of Rothblatt interesting as well, because in other contexts Rothblatt - a Jewish sex changer who fathered children with two different black women, one of them a Kenyan - would make him a poster child for the left's diversity ideology.

I would add that Sailer has studied male to female sex transformers, and he thinks that many of them display no female characteristics at all. Instead they come across as aggressively male or nerdy.

I really doubt Sailer has studied trans women in any meaningful sense. Meeting a couple of them doesn't count as studying them. Actual scientific studies of trans women show a number of female-typical neurological features.

I cannot imagine why. He is uniformly low on insight and high in insult.
