Do you have a mechanism for trusted third-parties to audit (not necessarily publicly) your adherence to your vow? If not, your should consider it. Similarly: I won't post, comment, or tweet on Facebook or Twitter between October 6th and the end of the year.

Because if I open twitch, I can't control how much time I spend there. It's totally useless and extremely addictive.
