Otherwise, the solution is to find interesting people. Internet helps a LOT.

Boring means different things to different people. I personally like a deep intellectual discussion.

Other people value other characteristics. Many people are not boring when they are unstifled and just follow their impulses.

That assumes the goal of discussion is to reconcile views. If I meet someone who thinks radically different from myself that's for me an interesting opportunity to understand a new perspective.

Agreement is seldom a goal for me in intellectual discussion. The goal is rather to learn something new or to let the person I'm discovering with learn something new. It's about exploration of ideas.
