You cite the language's tendency to borrow foreign terms as a positive thing. Wouldn't that require an inconsistent orthography?

In its current state, English does tend to borrow terms without changing their spelling (e.g. plateau), but in my proposed system they would all have to be adapted. Many languages already do that: Spanish borrowed football and turned it into fĂștbol.
