Years ago I had the idea that advanced civilizations can radiate waste heat into black holes instead of interstellar space, which would efficiently achieve much lower temperatures and also avoid creating detectable radiation signatures. It's an interesting idea.

Stable black holes seem difficult to create though - requires alot of mass. Could there be a shortcut?
