A word of warning: Conspiracy-theorists tend to think of themselves as members of "the cognitive elite" — the unusually well-informed, those who think clearly and skeptically, those who have broken free of brainwashing or consensus.

Fun fact: If I want to hear the newest conspiracy theories, the best place to find them is local Mensa.

Yeah, for me the conclusion is "Mensa is not a place for intelligent debate". But still, the people there are filtered by passing independent IQ test, so they would not be wrong at believing they are the cognitive elite, for some definition thereof.

Or, to put it even more succinctly, intelligence does not equate to rationality. That's something that's been hammered home time and time again.
