Do you have a background in formal debate?

If you do, do you think it was worth the time?

If you don't, do you regret not having it?

I was just driven by vague curiosity from a discussion elsewhere about what traits might correlate with rationality.

The lack of debate background suggests (weakly because of small sample size) that debating doesn't correlate with rationality.

Maybe I'll figure out a good way to ask about the desire to argue, which I think does correlate with at least LW rationality.

Maybe most LWers went to schools where no debate programs were available?
