Here's something that might be special about the brain modules that have access to the vocal chords: they have a voice. I, for one, consider that pretty special.

Unless you're using voice-recognition technology, why should the module in charge of your fingers be so worked up about the importance of the voice?

They are pretty much the same modules - the linguistic modules and their close associates, including much that is associated with rationality.
