I'm not sure I want to defend this particular use of ev-psych reasoning, but Bayesians can do better than a knee-jerk reaction against "just-so stories": Rational vs. Scientific Ev-Psych, A Failed Just-So Story, and Beyond 'Just-So Stories'.
