I say,
99.8% likely this is an upset outsider baiting for reactions in order to gauge our degree of cultishness.
0.1% likely this a sincere believer.
0.1% likely this is Eliezer messing with our heads.

I feel like "in order to gauge our cultishness" is too specific/conjunctive for that much of your probability mass.
This has to be a mass sockpuppet upvote thing, right?
Yeah, probably.
The post would have to be toned down quite a bit in order to appear to be possibly sincere.
I'm just used to the detractors misspelling or abbreviating "Yudkowsky", so this was jarring.
I've always been annoyed by how icky traditional sunscreen makes me feel, so I was happy to find out that there's a roll-on sunscreen that works reasonably well. I've used it a couple of times now, and while I wasn't outside for long enough that I would have burned when I used it in either case-- and therefore can't comment on the effectiveness of a single layer of the stuff-- I would say that applying it was much quicker and easier than applying traditional sunscreen. While applying sunscreen isn't the lowest hanging fruit in health interventions out there, it's still useful for reducing one's risk of death from melanoma (yay for living longer!).
I was told a while ago that Asian sunscreen is different and less greasy and I bought some Japanese sunscreen from the internet. It feels much better than the regular American stuff.
My attempts at gauging sincerity are thrown off by the fact that you can spell his name correctly.
I wanted to go buy some rings to play with, but they don't come in a full range of sizes (the smallest one is a size and a half bigger than my wedding ring) and also the shopping cart doesn't seem to work. Is there anyplace else that sells them?
Aliicorn's short stories. I like all her Social Justice AU stories.
Is there directory of LessWrong Tumblr?
I started a thing back in March called the LessWrong Digest. First of all, to you and/or anyone else reading this who signed up for it, I'm sorry I've been neglecting it for so long. I ran it for a few weeks in March, but I was indisposed for most of April, and it's been fallow since then. It contains highlights from the blogs of rationalists who post off of Less Wrong. It doesn't contain Tumblrs yet. I'll restart it tonight. I intend to build upon it to have some sort of rationalist RSS feed. I don't know how many other rationalist Tumblrs or blogs it would include, but lots. Hopefully I can customize it.
Anyway, it's my goal to make bring such projects to fruition so no rationalist under the sun cannot be found, no matter how deep into the blogosphere they burrow.
This sounds like a great project! I approve of it. Let me know if I can help.

Update: I bought some rings. They're okay. It's pretty hard to play with them and keep them from snapping to surfaces, and their sensitivity is pretty low - to get them close enough to stuff that you can feel them pulling is to get them about half an inch from the point where they'll hit the thing they're grabbing. My coating hasn't come off yet but I've only had them for a couple hours. They can make my computer go to sleep, which I already knew was a magnets thing because I wear magnetically clasped watches. I don't feel like I have an interesting new sense, but I have an interesting if alas delicate fidget toy, and my roommates have played with them too. Would not buy again, do not plan to go through the hassle of figuring out how to return.
