I'm literally speechless.
We wish, Dmytry.
How general is this skill? Will it allow me to get better at researching things using the internet or solving math problems?
It may improve your working memory, which would help you with those problems, John Maxwell IV, but probably not.

We did it today. On photo: Maria Konovalenro, http://www.facebook.com/MariaKonovalenko She posted it in social networks with following comment:
I, Maria Konovalenko, leader of Longevity Party, call to fight aging on a global scale.
Aging is a disease that needs to be cured. Eliminating aging will lead to much longer and healthier lives, to fulfilling your goals and desires, to self improvement, wealth and will give you much more happy days with your family and loved ones. Fighting aging is the first step to radical life extension. Everyone who believes aging has to be defeated, upload your pictures with posters like this one in front of memorable places in your city. It will be nice to have a gallery of places where people are vocally advocating longevity.
What signal about the efficacy and seriousness of antideathist groups do you think it sends when, of all possible ways to make things happen in that direction, the public is aware of people who go outside and picket and write on facebook walls ?
I guess you need to do some more thinking to straighten out your views on qualia.
Goodnight, Aaron Swartz.
"Please, please, please tell me! I must know"
Perhaps too dramatic for your taste, but it should get the job done.
Do not attempt to transform Less Wrong into r/atheism. Just do not even try.
I disagree. We're obligated to do things to the best of our ability based on the knowledge we have.
No, we're obligated to make sure we have enough knowledge and to gather more knowledge if we don't. If you believe that you don't have the time and/or resources to do this, that's also a decision with moral consequences.
In other words, it's not enough to merely try to make the correct decision.
You use only the resources you have, including your judgement, including your metajudgement.
My ambition is infinite but not limitless. I don't think I can re-arrange the small natural numbers.
I use "hypocrisy" to denote all instances of people violating their own declared moral standards, especially when they insist they aren't doing it after receiving feedback (if they can realise what they did after being told, only then I'd prefer to call it a 'mistake'). The reason why I don't restrict the word to deliberate lying is that I think deliberate lying of this sort is extremely rare; self-serving biases are effective in securing that.
especially when they insist they aren't doing it after receiving feedback
You underestimate force of habit, prase.

Someone seems to have downvoted all of my comments. And, surmising by what I said to him, it seems to have been private messaging.
(If there is some way to check this and) this is true, this is an abuse of the karma system. I do not have many comments, so it is not so much a big deal, but I liked my comments, except the one I retracted (note it is the only one which did not get any downvotes just now), and I don't like unfairness.
This person has been rightly accused of trolling and causing needless drama and insufficiently epistemic prudence, and he definitely runs a whole lot of accounts, so I recommend the banhammer.
