Note: most our members join meetups via other channels. Still, the correlation between "found out about Moscow meetups via lesswrong.com" and "is a great fit for our community" is very high. So we're posting just a short link to the hackpad document with the schedule here instead of the full translation of the announcement into english.
Pad with the content for the 13.03.2016 meetup.
We're meeting at anticafe "Kocherga", as usual.

Meta: most our members join meetups via other channels. So lately I've been skipping announcements on lesswrong.com because of extra work on providing both russian and english texts. Still, the correlation between "found out about Moscow meetups via lesswrong.com" and "is a great fit for our community" is very high. So from now on I'm going to post a short link to our usual hackpad document and save 80% of extra effort.

Regular bi-weekly meetup is happening this Sunday again. (We skipped a week because of upcoming Skepticon.)
We'll have a single talk, a big discussion on the future of our community, and several rational games.
Here's a full list:
- Eugene will talk about Foucault and Barthes, power, truth and "culture".
- I'll facilitate the Big Discussion. We'll talk about what we have right now, what kind of future we as a community would like to achieve (this includes both the desired internal state of the community and our goals in the outside world), and identify those of us would like to take some action.
- alexander230 will conduct a Zendo game.
- And then alexander230 will also conduct a Training Game.
BTW, we're also gathering a LW hackathon on Saturday.
PS: If you're joining us for the first time, read this, it might answer some of your questions.

I haven't announced our meetups here on lesswrong.com for a while, but we are still meeting bi-weekly. We moved from Yandex to our new anticafe "Kocherga".
Planned content:
1) I'll give a talk about scientific methodology issues, based on this great article. 2) Alexey Turchin will talk about global risks and will show his roadmap dedicated to this topic. 3) Alexander Popov will organize Fallacymania game. He'll also organize Zendo game at the afterparty. We also have another (secret and fun) event happening in Kocherga around 14:00. We have reserved a 15-minute section for explanations.
PS: If you're joining us for the first time, read this, it might answer some of your questions.

We're meeting at Yandex, at the Extropolis conference hall.
Please fill this form OR join this FB event if you're planning to visit.
Here's the plan:
- I'll give a short keynote on the community, communication culture and our epistemic ideals, if and only if enough new members will pre-register.
- Denis will give a talk on why and how working on your beliefs is useful.
- Pion will talk about the attribution error.
- We'll have debates on whether scientific copyright can be good. The teams were predetermined at our last meetup, and we'll follow Karl Popper protocol, as usual.
Information for the newcomers:
Here's the document explaining how to get to our meetups and what to expect. If you have any questions, or if you don't speak Russian and can't read the link, shoot me a PM.
