Two of us are here now at Panino Brother's now, if anyone is watching. We're sitting next to the door.
Well, crap. I missed you then, I had a little section set up in the corner; left just before nine. I'm sorry.
I will be wearing a red, "Communist Party" joke t-shirt, and will be sitting at a table in view of the entrance.
Well, I'll be there just in case anyone can show up. :)
That, and I haven't met my monthly Guiness quota yet.

I see that there was some interest a couple years back for a Minneapolis meetup, I'm going to give it a shot again, but south of the river instead of on campus.
This first meeting will be a get-to-know-each-other event, as well as a time to decide future meetup content and structure.

It's not the most graceful solution, but if you hold out your hands with your palms down and your thumbs pointed toward each other, the one that's shaped like an L is your left one. Or if you prefer verbal mnemonics, "you write from left to right".
That's how I figure it out. But getting it from "I can figure it out eventually" to that instinctual knowledge just hasn't happened.
Left vs. Right still tends to take two tries.

Squires and I had a chat for a couple hours and we think that, next time, the organizer should spam the table with paperclips; would make it more obvious who's who. I saw you in the corner with a red shirt, but you were far from any door, of which there were three. :)
On a more serious note, let's do somewhere more central next time. South Minneapolis/Edina would be better. I'm coming from NE.
I'm glad you two were able to meet up at least.
