You weren't kidding when you said "minimalist". Nicely done.

I guess a lot of people are interested enough in an account with the handle "troll" to check my first post, but not enough to not consider the name when reviewing posts.

Consider your second expectation falsified and update on it, as a "bayesian rationalist" would.

Yeah okay.

Illusion of transparency seems relevant; even if you know why you picked that username, others can only guess, and their guess should be expected to match their experience, not your private knowledge.

I expect people to know what a troll is based on cultural knowledge. I expect them to not care due to this being LW.

Consider restarting with a different account name. Trolling (that is, trying to provoke people) is not welcome here, and when your username is "troll", people will not (and should not) give you the benefit of doubt.

Should not? Why? Obviously I'm not provoking anyone.

How does that differ from "Sort By:New"?

That's in a tree. (new posts under old ones won't be before the old ones)

If one identity goes down in flames after a particularly unpopular posting, it doesn't exhaust my "karma" capital.

One purpose of (significantly) negative (total) Karma is to indicate when a user should be kicked out. Limiting this damage damages the forum. ("A particularly unpopular posting" is not normally the issue, it's usually the systematic failure to respond to negative feedback, including by stopping to post in particular modes or at all.)

Some people might downvote everything another has ever said out of spite.

Some might gather a group of friends to downvote a comment they don't like.

It's like giving everyone a double vote.

We don't kick people out of real life for disagreeing with us. (some do but no)

Users should never be kicked out. Downvotes shouldn't exist. Baring extreme scenarios, a system of upvotes should sort everything out.

(hesitantly) And total karma shouldn't exist. You should feel good for making a good comment, but not for making good comments in the past.

Awesome, I'm creating my own recipe based off of yours.

Do you mix all of your ingredients together, including the chicken and the supplements?

Comment author: troll 31 March 2013 07:15:49AM 1 point [-]

No. If you look at an entry under Edward, you'll find a function for how the value is calculated. The function tells you the ingredients.

I don't mix pills/tablets into the shake because they don't mix. Salt does mix. This is also a slightly dated recipe due to weird texture/taste combinations making the shake inedible. (add more water)

Chicken tastes like shit in a shake from recent experience.

I've had an identical project for a few months now.

A spreadsheet (under Edward) for ingredients and supplements for my shake which is missing potassium and fiber. (which are provided for with KCl salt and oats) RDAs are also not fixed for 1.5x caloric intake.

This is designed with weightlifting, preparation time, mobility, and close to 3000 cals/day in mind.

Overall cost is $3.84/day/person.

Tastes like thicker strawberry milk.

Updated spreadsheet with price distribution and complete RDAs (except phosphorous/pantathenic acid). $4.36/day/person

I expect the price to go down once the ingredients stabilize and I start buying in bulk.

How do you know motivation is multiplicative?

I'm sure you're aware at this point, but with that description you blend into the wallpaper.

Thank you for creating a comment to link "stereotypical Less Wrong reader". If only you were a couple of years older.

Since you're 17, have you looked into the week-long summer camp?

I have and I have submitted an application.
