Hi. Can I ask if you need to use the accomodation provided. It has been a while since I shared a bedroom . . .

We will not force anyone to use the hostel for sleep and meals, but we strongly recommend it The sessions often run well into the night and that might mean you'll be forced to find transport to your accommodation late, which might be tricky. Plus, that's were almost everyone will be all the time, and not staying at the hostel you'll miss out on some socialising and meeting cool people. That said, there are usually a few people who sleep at their own homes or in hotels There is a very small number of single and double bedrooms at the hostel, so if you do have e.g. a medical need to occupy one of those, there will be a time and space to communicate this request to us We cannot offer you a discounted ticket if you choose to sleep elsewhere

As far as I understand the constraint in places isn't in the amount of beds at the venue but how many people fit in the workshop rooms, so it's unlikely that you will get a reduced price if you aren't sleeping at the venue. At the same time, nobody forces you to be at the venue. You are free to enter or leave the venue at any time. That includes going somewhere else to sleep.  (I'm from Berlin but I'm not in the organizing team)
