I've been reading Less Wrong for three or four years now without registering - ever since stumbling across a supremely accessible explanation of Bayes Theorem - and suddenly felt I might have something to add. I feel significantly more cynical than most of the posters here, but endeavor to keep my pessimism grounded.

How about writing an article where you explain why you hold that belief? How would reality look like if the belief would be wrong? What sorts of predictions can be made with it?
