Maybe a better example of applied rationality from LW would be something like reverse engineering what it takes for a YouTube video or Internet meme to go viral, make one, and turn the proceeds over to a more rational enterprise.
Or alternately, force virality onto memes that promote rationality, or at least dis irrationality.
