But his discussion of how to “really help the world” seemed to me to contain a number of errors[1] -- errors enough that, if he cannot sort them out somehow, his total impact won’t be nearly what it could be.

Idea: a Rationalist Counsel, basically a group of high-profile rationalists that help people who are dedicated themselves to "shaping the future of humanity in a positive way" accurately assess their abilities and offer good strategies to leverage these abilities in order to maximize the impact.

People would privately submit their resumes to the Counsel members, who will evaluate them and offer a personal strategy that, in their opinion, would maximize the impact.
