A common criticism is that intelligence isn't defined, is poorly defined, cannot be defined, can only be defined relative to human beings, etc.
I guess you could lump general criticism of the computationalist approach to cognition in here (dynamicism, embodiment, ecological psychology, etc). Perhaps intelligence explosion scenarios can be constructed for alternative approaches but they seem far from obvious.
Lately when I think and talk about intelligence, I've been picturing something that looks like an arena soundboard.
